My favorite part of It’s A Trap is a dispute over an actor’s career.Ī running gag involving near the end of an episode, an argument between two characters clash over which subject is better. My favorite line from Blue Harvest is Peter’s version of Han saying, “Great kid don’t get cocky!” It deserves an Extra Point for making me laugh so hard. Seth MacFarlane’s “Ted” is referenced in the opening crawl from It’s A Trap. You can’t make a Star Wars movie, television show or spoof without a Wilhelm Scream. To put the icing on the cake, a “Wilhelm Scream” is used. My favorite part of Something Something Something Dark Side is Peter’s take on Han’s line, “I know.” It deserves an Extra Point for making me laugh so hard.Īt The Mos Eisley Cantina, animated characters outside of Family Guy make cameo appearances in the background sharing a booth drinking together.īen Burtt’s groundbreaking Sound Effects from the films are retained to match the parodies’ action. You know the yeti like creature who captured Luke? She’s basically the black sheep of the family or in this case, the Aquaman (pre-Jason Momoa) of Family Guy.Ī famous icon plays a Wampa. Meg has minor roles in all three episodes. Peter’s nemesis Ernie, has a role as Boba Fett. Recurring jokes from the show are brought back. Never before seen unedited footage is added on the DVD/Blu-Ray versions.Ī Plot Hole from A New Hope is brought up. Especially that one scene from Jabba’s Palace with a band singing and dancing. The spoofs did a jab at the re-released editions of The Original Trilogy. My favorite part of Blue Harvest has something to do with a couch.Īll three spoofs poked fun at “The Prequel Trilogy,” careers of Seth MacFarlane & Seth Green & the mythology of Star Wars. Both shows were also created by Seth MacFarlane Can you guess which character’s who’s who? In addition to characters playing a specific role of a beloved Star Wars character, a few characters from “American Dad” & “The Cleveland Show” also have selective roles. John Williams’ musical score is retained. George is a fan of Family Guy.īesides spoofing Star Wars, Family Guy is notorious for dropping random pop culture references. George Lucas also helped Seth and his crew by giving them input. Seth MacFarlane also did some input with the scripts, because he’s an avid fan of Star Wars.Īnimation looked pretty good recreating iconic scenes from the films. Veteran writers of the show Alec Sulkin & Cherry Chevapravatdumrong both did a decent job writing hilarious material to recreate notable moments from The Original Trilogy. Yay: The Main Cast such as Seth MacFarlane, Seth Green, Alex Borstein, Patrick Warburton, Mike Henry & Mila Kunis reprise their roles and they all did a fantastic job for their respective voiceover performances. Is it one of the best Star Wars parodies? Let’s find out, shall we? Yay & Nay Elements
